A little trip to the not so Poisoned Apple
It’s true. Your girl went to the big apple last week with l’husbun for a vacation trip and to visit friends! 🍎🗽 Our adventures included (but weren’t limited to):
Visiting the Museum of Sex – the second half of the Museum visit is a straight up bizarre little carnival. Wildest thing ever! 🎪🔞
Drinking at a pirate themed bar (helllloooo inspiration for the Captain Hook and Tinkerbelle story that comes out next year!) 🏴☠️🍻
Falling in love with Chinatown via fried pork buns, mooncakes, and one of those tiny fortune kitties that waves its paw at you (welcome to my office little dude) 🥟🐱
FINALLY getting to visit the Romance Only Bookstore, Ripped Bodice. SQUEEEE! I died, revived, then died again. 📚💘
Visiting the New York Public Library . . . now hold up here 🏛️
Okay, I went to the so-called library, but I think they mislabeled that big marble building. They should have called it a museum. 🤨
On account of the fact I didn’t see ANY BOOKS in three floors worth of that so-called Library!!!

To be fair, I suppose the public can’t always be trusted with lovely books just being out in the open, and there are a lot of off-limit research areas. grumble grumble
But l’husbun and I were looking forward to finding a cozy spot to read, like we do whenever we visit the Boston Public library. I mean that place has got a bar (which of course we discovered in .5 seconds the first time we were there) and lots of books! 🍸📚
But alas, no book coziness to be had in NYC. Total museum vibes.
We walked away and l’husbun said that place gave him blue pages.

Well, no matter. We stayed at the Library Hotel, which was pretty cool, and spent plenty of time reading on the hotel’s awesome rooftop bar or at different coffee shops. ☕️📖
New York – I’d do you again. 😘🗽
